Hamilton, ON (Tuesday, September 15, 2026) - Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rajini Nelson, CPA, as its Superintendent of Business Services and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
We are writing to reconnect with you following last evening’s Board Meeting, where Trustees approved a deficit budget for the 2026–2027 school year. It is important to us that we continue to communicate openly about the decisions before us and the path forward.
As the 2025–2026 school year comes to a close this week, HWDSB is celebrating a remarkable year of growth, resilience, and community impact. Across our school board, students have demonstrated excellence in academics, the arts, athletics, and everyday acts of kindness, reflecting HWDSB's culture of belonging and excellence.
